The UK Major Ports Group was pleased to join the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) at their headquarters recently, where Chief Executive Geraint Evans met with MMO colleagues to reflect on the strong progress being made through the Ports Sandbox initiative.

During the visit, Geraint met with MMO CEO Elysia McCaffrey and Head of Marine Licensing Leanne Stockdale to discuss the development of the programme and the positive outcomes it is delivering. The Ports Sandbox continues to demonstrate the value of close collaboration between regulators and industry, providing a constructive environment where challenges can be explored openly and practical solutions co-developed.

By creating a dedicated space for dialogue and innovation, the initiative is helping to improve understanding, streamline processes, and support the sustainable growth of the UK ports sector. It stands as a strong example of how partnership working can lead to meaningful progress for both industry and regulators.
