London International Shipping Week (LISW25) drew to a close after a fantastic series of events that once again placed London at the centre of the global maritime industry.
This year’s programme was truly international in scope — with 350 events, 87 countries represented, and 47 international delegations visiting London to engage, collaborate and strengthen partnerships across the sector. The week underscored the UK’s continued leadership in global maritime affairs and its commitment to building a sustainable, connected and innovative industry.
As part of the week, the International Working Group for LISW25, chaired by the UK Major Ports Group, worked closely with partners including Andy Snell, Sean Maloney and Llewellyn Bankes-Hughes to enhance international engagement and collaboration throughout the event.
A particular highlight was the Women in Ports event, jointly delivered with colleagues from Port Skills and Safety and the British Ports Association, and generously sponsored by Associated British Ports. The session was fully attended and celebrated the contribution and leadership of women across the ports and maritime sector.

The week also provided valuable opportunities to engage with government colleagues from the Department for Transport (DfT), Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) at a series of events.
London International Shipping Week 2025 demonstrated once again the strength, diversity and ambition of the UK maritime community — and the vital role that ports play at its core.
