Maritime Sector Converges in Belfast for Key Summits, Trade Discussions, and MUK Awards

The UKMPG team, along with what seemed like the majority of the maritime sector, headed to Belfast this week for a few days of maritime and trade discussions. The Coastal Powerhouse Summit and the BelFast Forward Connectivity Conference started off the week, and the ambition shown by Belfast Chamber, colleagues from across the maritime sector and Invest Northern Ireland was great to see. Belfast is a city that is benefitting from rapid economic development with Belfast Harbour at the heart of this.

The week culminated with the Maritime UK Awards, which are a real coming together of the maritime sector and an opportunity to celebrate and share success stories and celebrate. It was lovely to meet so many colleagues, both old and new, from across the sector, as well as to catch up with the Belfast Harbour team. The awards were held in the iconic Titanic Museum where, fittingly, we were greeted by Harland and Wolff apprentices in their bright red overalls. Congratulations to everyone who was nominated and the award winners from the night.
