It’s been a busy few weeks for the UK Major Ports Group. Recently, CEOs from the Group convened for their board meeting, kindly hosted by The Bristol Port Company.
The setting offered an excellent backdrop for in-depth sector discussions. During the site tour, attendees witnessed firsthand the cutting-edge advancements in the port industry. Highlights included demonstrations of simulators, artificial intelligence, and remotely operated machinery, showcasing the significant strides in technology that are shaping the future of port operations.
Events continued with The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum in Leeds, an event we have been following with keen interest for several years, and the UK Ports Conference. It was a pleasure to join some excellent panels and connect with numerous port colleagues attending the events.
These conferences emphasise how major ports are key to understanding what is happening today and tomorrow in the real economy.
