The UK Major Ports Group team had a fascinating visit to the Associated British Ports Immingham and Grimsby sites this week. It was timely and impressive to see the continued investment in operations and development in and around the facilities.
Grimsby’s role in supporting the offshore wind sector was clear to see and the growing importance of this area more widely in the energy transition as an industrial hub.

It was great to see the Vessel Traffic Services and Grimsby dock controllers and get an insight as to how shipping is managed across the Humber.

We were also given a tour of the Border Control Post and witnessed some of the firsthand and significant operational issues the team are dealing with on a day to day basis. Thanks to all the colleagues at ABP Humber.
