UK Major Ports welcome the PMs remarks – we must capture the opportunities from Brexit

March 29, 2018 by Lianne Stephens

Reacting to today’s tour of the UK by the Prime Minister, Tim Morris, Chief Executive of the U.K. Major Ports Group, the body speaking for the gateways of 75% of the U.K.’s global trade, commented “The U.K.’s major ports welcome the Prime Minister’s remarks on grasping the benefits of Brexit. There are real opportunities such as attracting more jobs and investment to coastal areas and setting the right regulations for the U.K.’s unique major ports sector. There are of course challenges from Brexit but the U.K. can’t lose sight of the opportunities.”
